Aquagel is normally mixed with a proprietary aquatic herbicide such as Reglonetm to control aquatic weeds.
Aquagel can be mixed with any other herbicides without affecting their efficacy.

The following weed species can be controlled using Aquagel and aquatic herbicide mix

Weed Species

Bladderwort (Utricularia spp.)

Hornwort (Ceratophyllum demersum)

Lagarosiphon (Lagarosiphon major)

Egeria oxygen weed (Egeria densa)

Elodea (Elodea spp.)

Pondweeds (Potamogeton spp.)

Watermilfoils (Myriophyllum spp.)

Hydrilla (Hydrilla verticillata)

Salvinia (Salvinia spp.)

Aquagel can be used for a wide range of aquatic weed control operations, such as clearing weeds from irrigation canals, flood control canals, drainage ditches, ornamental ponds and conservation wetlands.

Aquagel allows aquatic herbicide to be carried through the water column to the target pest plant thereby reducing herbicide diffusion into water and minimising the herbicide discharged into water.

Aquagel allows aquatic herbicide to pass through the the thermocline  and so can be used at any time of the year.

Aquagel has a stable viscosity which does not change with temperature.

Aquagel will sink through the water column and adhere to the target pest plant thereby allowing maximum diffusion of herbicide to the target plant.
